Tommy Dorsey left the world at a young age yet left behind a legacy that has withstood the tests of time and evolving tastes. The Tommy Dorsey Orchestra directed by Jeff Bush is paying homage and adding to the legend in one fell-swing with this release.

Recorded in 2026 at Suma Recording Studio in Painesville, Ohio, this album revitalizes some of Dorsey’s most popular hits like “Opus One” while also paying respect to the evolution of time with “Mr. Sandman” originally made famous by the Chordettes in the 50s.

Recording Engineer David Shaw captured the essence of the Band with perfect clarity, adding a crisp new sound to the world of Big Band Swing. Famous tracks like “Yes, Indeed” and “Marie” are sung with the utmost precision and finesse by vocalist Hayden Grove, with Jeff Bush himself on vocals for “Birmingham Bounce” and “Mr. Sandman.” The recording concludes with a swinging new arrangment of “When The Saints Go Marching In” featuring TD’s Clambake Seven.
